German retail giant Rewe has denied reports that it is looking to launch its Penny format in Slovakia.
According to reports today (24 September), the firm is considering rolling out the discount format in the country. However, a spokesperson for Rewe told just-food: “There are no plans to enter the Slovakian market with Penny.”
In November last year, the retailer revealed it wants to open 20 Penny discount stores in Bulgaria by the end of this year.
