“The factory was built to replace our company’s first-ever factory, built over 50 years ago. The new facility uses state-of-the-art processing techniques,” a spokesperson for the company told just-food.
While the company declined to put a figure on the level of investment behind the plant, it described it as “significant”.
The benefits of the new plant include the potential to increase capacity in the future as McCain expands its core potato processing business.
