Groupe Danone has appointed Dominique Poiroux as general manager of medical nutrition for its France, Eastern Europe, Africa, Middle East and Asia divisions.

Poiroux has fulfilled several positions within the Department of Commerce and the Ministry of Finance before becoming principal private secretary of François d’Aubert, Research Secretary of State, from 1995 to 1997.
Poiroux joined Danone in 1997 where he led various projects before being appointed as vice president research, development and quality in 1999.
In 2002, he became general manager of Danone Biscuits China, and since 2007 was responsible for the integration of the new baby and medical nutrition divisions after the acquisition of Royal Numico.
