Kellogg has announced it will create 50 “high-value” jobs in Ireland to take its workforce to 250 people in the country by the end of the year.

The company is recruiting for senior roles among its European marketing, finance and sales functions at its European HQ in the Irish town of Swords, 13km outside the centre of Dublin.

Kellogg’s Irish business is also recruiting a number of sales people to join its domestic sales team.

“Our vision is to become the food company of choice and through our European headquarters we are building a centre of excellence here in Dublin, which supports our teams in their local markets,” said Tim Mobsby, president of Kellogg Europe.

Kellogg yesterday (29 July) reported that its global earnings slid 15% on the back of a product recall in the US.
