Canadian retailer Couche-Tard is set to launch its Circle K brand in Vietnam.
The group has signed a master franchise and license agreement for the development of Circle K with GR Vietnam International Limited.
A spokesperson for the company told just-food that the deal would augment its portfolio of licensed operations outside the US and Canada.
“We see this as a very positive move into a market that offers a lot of potential. While the convenience market in Vietnam is still developing, international retailers have very limited access to market,” the spokesperson said.
Couche-Tard operates just under 3,600 stores under franchise outside its North American base.
