Campbell Soup Co. is to sell its German Village Products pasta plant in Ohio to Philadelphia Macaroni Co.
The Wauseon-based site is a 65,000 sq ft manufacturing facility, and the sale will include land and all assets.
Campbell said today (25 June) that it is selling the plant as part of ongoing efforts to optimise its manufacturing network.
The company expects the transaction to be completed during its fiscal fourth quarter, which ends on 1 August.
Financial terms were not disclosed.
Campbell also has entered into a long-term agreement with Philadelphia Macaroni Co to supply it with pasta products. The company has been supplying Campbell with pasta products since the 1920s.

By GlobalDataUnder the terms of the sale agreement, Campbell will close the plant before selling it to Philadelphia Macaroni Co. The plant is expected to close on or around 15 July.
Campbell said it is currently discussing transfer rights and severance packages for the approximately 30 staff that work at German Village Products with the United Food and Commercial Workers Union Local 75.
