Food giant Sara Lee is reorganising its North American management team to “continue its focus on marketing and R&D”, the company told just-food today (22 April).

Kim Feil, North American chief marketing officer, will leave next month. A spokesperson for the company told just-food that she was leaving to “pursue other management opportunities”.

Meanwhile, Heidi Kleinbach-Sauter, senior vice president for research and development, left Sara Lee last week.

These two roles will be combined and taken on by Philippe Schaillee, who is currently Sara Lee’s vice president for breakfast and snacking. Tulin Tuzel, vice president of process and packaging, will head R&D, reporting to Schaillee.

“We felt that Philippe was best placed to handle these responsibilities,” the spokesperson said. “The reorganisation is a result of both the departure of some of our current management and the workforce reduction we announced last week.”
