Clearly Canadian Brands has moved to add to its food roster with a deal to buy kosher meat business Baldwin Street Kosher.

The company, best-known for its water brands, is slowly expanding its food operations after last year buying the baby food business My Organic Baby.

Baldwin Street sells a range of hot dogs, sausages and salamis, as well as a range of kosher- and gluten-free meat products.

Clearly Canadian president David Reingold said: “Now that we have an infrastructure in place we can very simply add brands that will sell through our same channels to the same stores, through our existing sales force.”
