Indian food and consumer goods company Hindustan Lever (HLL) is to merge its key food brands Knorr and Annapurna.

The company, which is a 51%-owned subsidiary of Anglo-Dutch Unilever, will now sell both ranges under the joint Knorr Annapurna brand name. HLL also said it would now market its Modern bread under the Kissan brand name.

The company may decide to phase out the Annapurna brand name over time, leaving Knorr as its flagship food brand, reported the Economic Times, citing sources.
