US probiotic maker Lifeway Foods has said growing consumer awareness of flagship line Kefir has driven higher quarterly sales and earnings.
The company yesterday (17 May) booked a 14% rise in net income to US$1.8m for the three months to the end of March. The increase in profits came as revenues climbed 16% to $15.9m.

“This increase is primarily attributable to increased sales and awareness of Lifeway’s flagship line, Kefir,” the company said.
