A labelling error has forced Bay Valley Foods to recall 535 cases of salad dressing distributed along the East Coast of the US.
The label on America’s Choice Classic Caesar Dressing contained the ingredient and nutrition information for another profduct and did not carry allergy warnings for fish, soy and wheat, the company said.
However, the TreeHouse Foods unit said no illnesses have been reported to the US Food and Drug Administration.
The recalled bottles were distributed through Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Co. stores including A&P and Waldbaum’s in six states along on the East Coast.
Bay Valley Foods, a manufacturer of powdered creamer, pickles, condiments and other food products, is the principal operating division of TreeHouse Foods.
