Campbell Soup Company has promoted Anthony DiSilvestro to the newly-created position of senior vice president-finance.

DiSilvestro will oversee the company’s controller’s, tax and treasury departments and will continue to report to Craig Owens, SVP CFO and chief administrative officer. He will also oversee finance directors in Campbell’s global procurement and supply chain groups.

DiSilvestro, 51, has served as Campbell’s vice president-controller since 2004. The company plans to conduct a search for a Controller to succeed DiSilvestro.

In his new position, DiSilvestro will play a key role in developing and executing Campbell’s global finance strategy, the company said.

“Anthony has been a top performer since joining Campbell more than a decade ago. His expertise, strategic capabilities and deep knowledge of our company make him especially well suited to his new responsibilities,”Owens said.
