PepsiCo has announced the election of two members to its board of directors with effect from 14 March.
Ian Cook and Lloyd Trotter will join the food and beverage giant from Colgate-Palmolive and General Electric, respectively.
Currently president and chief executive officer for the consumer products company, Cook joined Colgate in 1976 and progressed through various roles before becoming CEO in 2004.
Trotter has had a 37-year career with General Electric as executive vice president and chief executive officer and is retiring from his current post as vice chairman at the end of February.
The election of Cook and Trotter to PepsiCo’s board brings the total number of directors to 12 and the total number of independent outside directors to ten.
