United Biscuits has teamed up with green campaigners the WWF through a marketing push for its Penguin biscuit brand in the UK.

The GBP1.5m campaign will include a two-stage advertising push, the first part of which starts today (8 March).

The advert will feature penguins in their natural habitat in Antarctica, which United Biscuits hopes will drive awareness of an on-pack promotion that offers consumers the chance to adopt a penguin through the WWF.

The promotion, which gives consumers the chance to win one of 30 adoption packs, will run until late May across the entire McVitie’s Penguin range, including Penguin Cake Bars and Penguin Mini Rolls.
