Nestlé’s French food service specialist Davigel has invested EUR6m (US$8.8m) in a new logistics hub located in Tôtes, around 30 km from Dieppe, in Normandy.

The facility, which has freed up space in Davigel’s main warehouse in Dieppe, serves the Normandy and Picardy regions, a Davigel official told just-food today (8 January).


Producing a broad range of raw, cooked, frozen and refrigerated goods, Davigel’s customers  include hospitals, schools, the military, businesses and butchers, bakers and caterers. The site will employ 120 staff.


Davigel has a three production plants and a network of 45 delivery centres in France. The company employs a total of almost 2,800 staff and in 2006 posted a turnover of EUR701m.
