Hormel Foods has today (11 October) promoted Steven Binder to the position of president of Hormel business units.

Binder, executive vice president of Hormel’s refrigerated foods division, will now also be responsible for the company’s grocery products and consumer products sales units. He will assume his new role of president for Hormel’s business units at the end of the month.

“This change aligns with our efforts to create a more unified approach to the marketing and sales of Hormel and other branded products, and will also support our ability to optimise raw materials,” said Hormel Foods chairman, president and CEO Jeffrey Ettinger.

Binder joined Hormel Foods in 1979 and progressed through numerous sales and management positions within the foodservice and meat products groups.

In addition, Hormel Foods has also announced that the retirement of group vice president of Specialty Foods, Michael Tolbert. Vice president of Hormel Foods and senior vice president of consumer products sales (CPS), Donald Kremin will replace Tolbert. The changes will be effective from 31 December.
