New Zealand-based dairy co-operative Fonterra has revealed it has opened a research and development centre in Amsterdam.
The company said today (14 July) that the recently opened R&D centre is its fourth and that the move concludes the migration of the group’s European headquarters to Amsterdam.
Fonterra said it will be able to test new manufacturing processes and work with partners on tailor-made innovations. It will also employ 10 technical specialists.
“At our new R&D Centre we can develop innovations more easily and market them quicker,” Fonterra Europe general manager Koert Likelema. “The European consumer has very specific dairy wishes and we can fulfil those wishes and needs even better and quicker out of Amsterdam.”
