Glanbia described Toland’s exit as “personal” and said it was prompted by his “desire to live full time in Ireland”.
A spokesperson for the company told just-food the company is yet to appoint Toland’s replacement but emphasised his departure would not have an impact on Glanbia’s operations.
“We have the structure in place. There are four CEOs in the US and they do – and will continue to – run very successful businesses,” the spokesperson said. “We are now in the process of looking for a successor.”
