One of the first pieces of work involves a new branded membership of Anglia Farmers, the UK’s biggest agricultural buying co-operative. The membership is open to all Waitrose UK-based farmers, giving them access to what it claims are “significant” savings on all farm supplies.
The initiative comes at a time when the UK farming industry is suffering as processors make substantial cuts to milk prices and poor weather conditions are destroying crops.
