Swiss grocery retailer Migros has announced that the CEO of its Denner division, Peter Bamert, will leave the company, due to “strategic differences”.

The company announced on Thursday (27 January) that Bamert would leave the company in late January due to differing views on the strategic management of the company.

The business will be managed in the interim by Mario Irminger, who is currently Denner’s chief financial officer.

A Migros spokesperson said that Bamert’s successor would be announced in due course and that, in 2011, the company is working to strengthen its position as number three in the market.
