Sainsbury’s announced today (27 January) it has appointed the managing director of Google’s UK and Ireland operations, Matt Brittin, as a non-executive director.

Commenting on the appointment, Sainsbury’s chairman David Tyler said: “I am delighted that Matt has agreed to join Sainsbury’s board. We were looking for someone who would complement the skills and experience of our existing team and I am sure he will contribute widely to our future growth aspirations.”
