Swedish supermarket chain ICA has booked a drop in fourth-quarter and full-year sales.
ICA, which is part-owned by Ahold, saw net sales drop 0.4% in the fourth quarter to SEK24.49bn (US$3.7bn). At constant exchange rates, net sales increased by 2.6%, the retailer said today (19 January).

Net sales for the full year of 2010 amounted to SEK93.86bn, a drop of 0.8% compared to 2009. At constant exchange rates, net sales increased by 0.9%.
The firm will release its year-end report on 16 February.
