French poultry processor LDC saw revenues in its first quarter climb on the back of increasing sales at home and abroad.
In the three-month period, group sales amounted to EUR750.7m (US$979.7m). That compared to sales of EUR692.4m last year, an increase of 8.4%. Volumes were up 4.8%.
Domestic sales increased 10.7% in the period to reach EUR519.4m. Revenues benefited from increased consumption in the quarter and favourable pricing actions.
Outside France, revenue grew by 4.4% to EUR47m, driven in particular by growth in Poland.
