According to industry analysts the discount store market still has room for further expansion in the Czech Republic. “This will be one of few growing segments of the market in next five years. The number of hypermarkets is growing very slowly and supermarkets stagnate,” Petr Skala of advisory company Incoma, was quoted by CIA Daily News as saying.
Lidl’s discount stores are being opened in towns with more than 10,000 inhabitants.
