The European Commission has given French vegetable oil producer Cereol the go-ahead to sell its cooking oil unit Lesieur to a joint venture operated by Cereol and French oilseeds firm Soprol.

When oilseed processing giant Bunge bought Cereol last year, it said it wanted to sell most of the stake in Lesieur.
Lesieur is to be sold for €181m (US$196m) to Saipol, reported Reuters.
