The increase in turnover was attributed to the purchase of the department store chains Lumimart and EPA in 2002.
The retail area of the Coop store chain increased by 3.8% year-on-year to 1,035,000 square metres, while the total retail area of the Coop store chain, Lumimart and EPA is currently 1,356,000 square metres, reported the Swiss News Digest.
