Foster Farms president and CEO Ron Foster has reportedly signalled his intention to stand down.
According to local US publication The Turlock Journal, which cited a letter from Mr Foster to employees, the third-generation family member to head up the company plans to remain involved in the group’s management as owner and director.
Mr Foster wrote: “I have greatly enjoyed the past 11 years as your CEO. During this period, we have witnessed some of the most challenging and some of the most rewarding times in our company’s history.”
A successor to Mr Foster is yet to be named and, according to reports, he will continue as president and CEO until the transition process is complete.
Representatives at Foster Farms did not respond immediately to requests for comment.
