Madrid-based food firm Campofrio Alimentacion announced earlier today [Monday] that it has successfully completed a €100m (US$92m) capital increase.

The operation, which was undertaken to help fund the company’s domestic growth plans, saw Campofrio issue 13,160,931 new shares, each with a nominal value of €1 and a premium of €6.59. For every three old shares, one new share was issued.

Campofrio explained in a regulatory filing that demand was high, and said that it received more requests for shares than stocks available. Campofrio now has a total number of 52,643,724 shares.
