Aryzta has snapped up Irish foodservice company La Rousse Foods for an undisclosed sum.

The deal, which is subject to competition approval, will enable both businesses to grow a "premium" foodservice offering locally and internationally, the companies said.

La Rousse co-founder Marc Amand said the move will enable his company to step up growth. "In Aryzta Food Solutions [Aryzta's foodservice arm], we now have the springboard from which to launch La Rousse Foods into the next exciting phase in our development through an enhanced product offering and robust business platform."
