Croatian Atlantic Grupa has hinted at a possible takeover of contract potato chips manufacturer Kanaan.

Atlantic Grupa is looking to launch a range of snacks under a new brand called Chipsos and the two sides had a signed a deal for Kanaan to produce the products.

However, in parallel to that agreement, Atlantic Grupa has revealed the companies had started due diligence that could see it buy control of Kanaan.

“The two companies are considering possibilities of an ownership integration, namely Atlantic Grupa’s assuming the majority stake in Kanaan,” a statement read.
