Poulina’s new site will be located in Nabeul, 60 kilometres from Tunis, where the headquarters of the group’s poultry arm, AL Mazraa, is based. The plant will be equipped with slaughtering, cutting, processing and cold store units, with a daily capacity of 250 tonnes.

DGPDelta’s second project in Tunisia is for a publicly-owned abattoir located in the south-eastern city of Sfax. The site will process sheep and cattle.

Casa Grains is to have a poultry abattoir built near the Moroccan city of Casablanca. The plant includes provision for a cold meats workshop and a freezer unit with a capacity of 1,200 tonnes.

The fourth abattoir will be built in Algeria for local firm Salem. Located in the north-eastern city of Annaba, the site will be dedicated to chickens and laying hens.
