French retail chain E.Leclerc has said it plans to invest 160m Polish zlotych (US$40.4m) in 2003 in its Polish operations.

The company said it would construct two new supermarkets and start work on another three. The two new supermarkets are to be situated in Lublin and Belchatow.
E.Leclerc currently operates nine large supermarkets in Poland, reported Interfax.
