Bankrupt seafood processor Hoko Fishing Corp has signed a deal to sell some of its operations to ham and sausage producer Nippon Meat Packers.

The deal, which involves Hoko’s seafood processing operations, frozen food operations and daily products operations, was signed earlier today [Monday] for an undisclosed sum.
Nippon Meat will take over the productions and sales network from Hoko, and said that it plans to take on as many as possible of Hoko’s employees.
