Sequential batch reactors (SBR) are designed to reduce the organic and nutrient loadings in medium-strength wastewater to comply with surface water and sewer discharge limits. This secondary aerobic biological treatment process is ideally suited to many industrial applications, including food and beverage manufacturing. It can also be used as a pre-treatment stage for tertiary recycling plants.
EWT’s MBR Technology® process produces a high-quality discharge permeate that meets the most stringent discharge requirements and allows water to be re-used.

Moving bed bioreactor (MBBR) technology is a biological treatment developed specifically for industrial effluent treatement. EWT’s FlooBed® MBBR process is an advanced, easy to operate high-loaded biological treatment method that effectively removes organics and nutrients from wastewater.
Dissolved air flotation (DAF) systems can be used to treat many types of industrial effluent streams, and are ideal for use in the food processing industry. The unit has a counter-current surface scraping design, which ensures outstanding results in terms of solids capture and overall performance. Standard unit capacities range from 1kl/hr to 1,000kl/hr. All of EWT’s DAF systems are manufactured in stainless steel and are built for endurance.
EWT is the exclusive Australian distributor for AQUACONSULT’s AEROSTRIP, a fine-bubble-aerator that is used in municipal and industrial wastewater treatment plants around the world.
The AEROSTRIP product has been used in many industry applications including the largest advanced water treatment plant within the Australian food industry.
A belt press is ideal for dewatering sludge produced from industrial wastewater treatment plants. With a belt press a volume reduction of up to 97% can be achieved. EWT manufactures a comprehensive range of belt presses, from 0.5m, five-roller economy units to 3m wide, nine-compression roller machines, with the largest systems handling up to 800kg/hr of dry solids.
