Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in Asia-Pacific with a share of 41.13% in August 2022, a 3.57% rise over the previous month. Miscellaneous Computer Occupations came in next, claiming a share of 27.66% in August 2022, marking a 27.78% month-on-month decline. In the third place was Computer and Information Analysts with a share of 21.99% in August 2022, a 24.39% drop from July 2022.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average decline of 16.41% in the overall IT recruitment activity of Asia-Pacific’s food industry during August 2022 over previous month.
Charoen Pokphand Foods Public posted 50 IT jobs in August 2022 and registered an increase of 25% over the previous month, followed by Unternehmensgruppe Theo Muller S.e.c.s. with 30 jobs and a 43.4% drop. Masan Group with 11 IT jobs and Nestle with 10 jobs, recorded a 35.29% drop and a 33.33% drop, respectively, while The Kraft Heinz recorded a 100% increase with 6 job postings during August 2022.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in Asia-Pacific’s food industry
India commanded a leading presence in the region’s food industry IT hiring activity with a 68.79% share in August 2022, an 11.01% decrease over July 2022. Vietnam featured next with a 7.8% share, down 35.29% over the previous month. Australia recorded a 6.38% share, a growth of 12.5% compared with July 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in August 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 82.27%, down by 14.07% from July 2022. Mid Level positions with a 9.22% share, registered a decline of 48% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 7.8% share, up 37.5% over July 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 0.71%, recording a month-on-month flat growth.
