Miscellaneous Computer Occupations Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in Asia-Pacific with a share of 38.73% in May 2022, a 71.88% rise over the previous month. Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers came in next, claiming a share of 31.69% in May 2022, marking a 4.26% month-on-month decline. In the third place was Computer and Information Analysts with a share of 15.49% in May 2022, a 69.23% rise from April 2022.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 19.35% in the overall IT recruitment activity of Asia-Pacific’s food industry during May 2022 over previous month.
Unternehmensgruppe Theo Muller S.e.c.s. posted 42 IT jobs in May 2022 and registered an increase of 162.5% over the previous month, followed by Nestle with 26 jobs and a 51.85% drop. Masan Group with 18 IT jobs and Charoen Pokphand Foods Public with 17 jobs, recorded a 63.64% rise and a 41.67% rise, respectively, while Bundl Technologies Private recorded a flat growth with 8 job postings during May 2022.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in Asia-Pacific’s food industry
India commanded a leading presence in the region’s food industry IT hiring activity with a 64.79% share in May 2022, a 15% increase over April 2022. Vietnam featured next with a 12.68% share, up 63.64% over the previous month. Australia recorded a 9.86% share, a flat growth compared with April 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in May 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 80.99%, up by 8.49% from April 2022. Mid Level positions with an 11.97% share, registered a growth of 41.67% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 7.04% share, up 100% over April 2022.
