Europe witnessed a 1.7% drop in IT hiring activity in the food industry in July 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics dashboard.
July 2022 has seen a decrease of 5.4% in the overall hiring activity when compared with June 2022.
IT jobs accounted for a 3.4% share in the industry’s total hiring activity in July 2022, registering an increase of 0.15% over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations leads by classification in July 2022
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in Europe with a share of 52.34% in July 2022, a 4.67% rise over the previous month. Database and Network Administrators and Architects came in next, claiming a share of 22.43% in July 2022, marking a 42.86% month-on-month decline. In the third place was Miscellaneous Computer Occupations with a share of 14.02% in July 2022, a 40% drop from June 2022.
Computer and Information Analysts registered a share of 7.01% in July 2022, a 44.44% decline over the previous month.
Top five food companies in Europe’s IT recruitment activity in July 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average decline of 13.38% in the overall IT recruitment activity of Europe’s food industry during July 2022 over previous month.
HelloFresh posted 50 IT jobs in July 2022 and registered an increase of 284.62% over the previous month, followed by Cherkizovo Group with 27 jobs and a 10% drop. Unternehmensgruppe Theo Muller S.e.c.s. with 25 IT jobs and Ferrero Group with 18 jobs, recorded a 34.21% drop and a 5.88% rise, respectively, while Nestle recorded a 72.88% decline with 16 job postings during July 2022.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in Europe’s food industry
Germany commanded a leading presence in the region’s food industry IT hiring activity with a 30.37% share in July 2022, a 32.65% increase over June 2022. The UK featured next with a 19.63% share, down 49.4% over the previous month. Russia recorded a 13.55% share, a drop of 17.14% compared with June 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in July 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 82.71%, down by 17.29% from June 2022. Mid Level positions with a 9.81% share, registered a decline of 22.22% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 7.48% share, down 58.97% over June 2022.
