June 2022 has seen a decrease of 11.88% in the overall hiring activity when compared with May 2022.

IT jobs accounted for a 3.28% share in the industry’s total hiring activity in June 2022, registering an increase of 0.2% over the last three-month average share.

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations leads by classification in June 2022

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in Europe with a share of 36.71% in June 2022, a 27.62% drop over the previous month. Database and Network Administrators and Architects came in next, claiming a share of 31.88% in June 2022, marking a 21.43% month-on-month decline. In the third place was Miscellaneous Computer Occupations with a share of 16.43% in June 2022, a 17.07% drop from May 2022.

Top five food companies in Europe’s IT recruitment activity in June 2022

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 6.96% in the overall IT recruitment activity of Europe’s food industry during June 2022 over previous month.

Roofoods posted 35 IT jobs in June 2022 and registered an increase of 775% over the previous month, followed by Cherkizovo Group with 30 jobs and a 21.05% drop. Unternehmensgruppe Theo Muller S.e.c.s. with 24 IT jobs and Unibel with 18 jobs, recorded a 31.43% drop and a 33.33% drop, respectively, while Ferrero Group recorded a 45.45% increase with 16 job postings during June 2022.

Country-wise composition of IT hiring in Europe’s food industry

The UK commanded a leading presence in the region’s food industry IT hiring activity with a 32.85% share in June 2022, a 25.93% increase over May 2022. Russia featured next with a 16.91% share, down 25.53% over the previous month. Germany recorded a 14.49% share, a drop of 31.82% compared with May 2022.

Junior Level job postings dominate in June 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 76.33%, down by 25.47% from May 2022. Entry Level positions with a 14.98% share, registered a growth of 72.22% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Mid Level job ads with 8.21% share, down 51.43% over May 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 0.48%, recording a month-on-month flat growth.
