October 2022 has seen a decrease of 14.52% in the overall hiring activity when compared with September 2022.
IT jobs accounted for a 3.21% share in the industry’s total hiring activity in October 2022, registering an increase of 0.04% over the last three-month average share.
Database and Network Administrators and Architects Occupations leads by classification in October 2022
Database and Network Administrators and Architects Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in Europe with a share of 39.31% in October 2022, a 1.72% drop over the previous month. Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers came in next, claiming a share of 22.76% in October 2022, marking a 25% month-on-month decline. In the third place was Miscellaneous Computer Occupations with a share of 20.69% in October 2022, a 34.78% drop from September 2022.
Computer and Information Analysts registered a share of 9.66% in October 2022, a 30% decline over the previous month.
Top five food companies in Europe’s IT recruitment activity in October 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 26.98% in the overall IT recruitment activity of Europe’s food industry during October 2022 over previous month.
Unibel posted 30 IT jobs in October 2022 and registered an increase of 25% over the previous month, followed by Cherkizovo Group with 18 jobs and a 63.64% growth. HelloFresh with 14 IT jobs and Ferrero Group with 11 jobs, recorded a 75% rise and an 8.33% drop, respectively, while maxingvest recorded a 12.5% decline with 7 job postings during October 2022.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in Europe’s food industry
France commanded a leading presence in the region’s food industry IT hiring activity with a 26.9% share in October 2022, an 11.36% decrease over September 2022. Germany featured next with a 24.14% share, down 25.53% over the previous month. The UK recorded a 15.17% share, a growth of 4.76% compared with September 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in October 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 75.86%, down by 15.38% from September 2022. Mid Level positions with a 14.48% share, registered a decline of 12.5% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 8.28% share, down 36.84% over September 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 1.38%, recording a month-on-month flat growth.
