Germany’s food industry registered a 6.5% drop in IT hiring activity in August 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring increased by 2.46% in August 2022 when compared with July 2022.
Out of the food industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 3.19% share in August 2022, recording an increase of 0.34% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in Germany’s food industry’s IT recruitment activity in August 2022
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Germany’s food industry in August 2022.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 56.82% in August 2022, registering a 53.7% decline over the previous month.
2) Computer and Information Analysts claimed an 18.18% share, an increase of 60% over the previous month.
3) Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 13.64%, registering a flat growth from July 2022.
4) Computer and Information Research Scientists captured a share of 6.82%, flat growth over the previous month.
Top five food companies in Germany’s IT recruitment activity in August 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 29.31% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Germany’s food industry during August 2022 over July 2022.
HelloFresh posted 18 IT jobs in August 2022 and registered a drop of 59.09% over the previous month, followed by Nestle with 8 jobs and a 100% growth. maxingvest with 7 IT jobs and Ferrero Group with 7 jobs, recorded a 250% growth and a 12.5% decrease, respectively, while Ingredion recorded a flat growth with 1 job postings during August 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in August 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 68.18%, down by 38.78% from July 2022. Mid Level positions with a 29.55% share, registered an increase of 8.33% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 2.27% share, flat growth over July 2022.
