Germany’s food industry IT recruitment activity rises 22.8% in July 2022

Germany’s food industry registered a 22.8% rise in IT hiring activity in July 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 11.68% in July 2022 when compared with June 2022.

Out of the food industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 3.8% share in July 2022, recording an increase of 1.15% over the last three-month average share.

Top five job classifications in Germany’s food industry’s IT recruitment activity in July 2022

Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Germany’s food industry in July 2022.

1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 86.15% in July 2022, registering a 194.74% growth over the previous month.

2) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a 6.15% share, a decrease of 20% over the previous month.

3) Computer and Information Analysts held a share of 4.62%, registering a 76.92% decline from June 2022.

4) Computer Support Specialists captured a share of 1.54%, flat growth over the previous month.

Top five food companies in Germany’s IT recruitment activity in July 2022

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 37.78% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Germany’s food industry during July 2022 over June 2022.

HelloFresh posted 44 IT jobs in July 2022 and registered a rise of 388.89% over the previous month, followed by Ferrero Group with 8 jobs and a 14.29% growth. Nestle with 7 IT jobs and maxingvest with 2 jobs, recorded a 73.08% decline and a 100% growth, respectively, while FRoSTA recorded a decline of 50% with 1 job postings during July 2022.

Junior Level job postings dominate in July 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 78.46%, up by 54.55% from June 2022. Mid Level positions with a 16.92% share, registered an increase of 10% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 4.62% share, down 40% over June 2022.
