July 2022 has seen a decrease of 1.87% in the overall hiring activity when compared with June 2022.
IT jobs accounted for a 2.18% share in the industry’s total hiring activity in July 2022, registering an increase of 0.03% over the last three-month average share.
Computer and Information Analysts Occupations leads by classification in July 2022
Computer and Information Analysts Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in South & Central America with a share of 31.58% in July 2022, a 7.69% drop over the previous month. Computer Support Specialists came in next, claiming a share of 28.95% in July 2022, marking a 266.67% month-on-month increase. In the third place was Miscellaneous Computer Occupations with a share of 15.79% in July 2022, a 33.33% drop from June 2022.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers registered a share of 15.79% in July 2022, a flat growth over the previous month.
Top five food companies in South & Central America’s IT recruitment activity in July 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 21.43% in the overall IT recruitment activity of South & Central America’s food industry during July 2022 over previous month.
GraceKennedy posted 12 IT jobs in July 2022 and registered a flat growth over the previous month, followed by BRF with 9 jobs and a 28.57% growth. JBS with 8 IT jobs and Nestle with 3 jobs, recorded a 166.67% rise and a 40% drop, respectively, while Mars recorded a 100% increase with 2 job postings during July 2022.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in South & Central America’s food industry
Brazil commanded a leading presence in the region’s food industry IT hiring activity with a 44.74% share in July 2022, a 41.67% increase over June 2022. Jamaica featured next with a 31.58% share, flat growth over the previous month. Argentina recorded a 13.16% share, a growth of 400% compared with June 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in July 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 57.89%, down by 31.25% from June 2022. Entry Level positions with a 34.21% share, registered a growth of 1200% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with a 7.89% share, up 50% over June 2022.
