The proportion of food manufacturers hiring for data analytics jobs dropped in May, hitting the lowest level for a year, data suggests.
Some 53.6% of the companies monitored by GlobalData were recruiting for at least one such position in April.
That was lower than the 55.1% of food manufacturers hiring for data analytics-related jobs a year ago and a decrease compared to the figure of 63.5% in April.
Looking at all job openings, 5% of newly-posted job advertisements in May were linked to data analytics. That compared to 4.2% of newly-advertised jobs a year ago.

GlobalData says its analysis suggests food manufacturers are hiring for digital media jobs at a rate lower than the average for all companies within the research group’s jobs analytics database. The average among all companies stood at 6.1% in May.
