The A2 Milk Co., the New Zealand-based dairy and infant-formula group, has announced one of its senior team will step down in February.

Susan Massasso is to leave her position as A2 Milk’s chief marketing officer, more than six years after joining the business from Campbell Soup Co.

A2 Milk said a search for Massasso’s successor “to lead the next phase of the company’s growth and brand development is underway”.

Massasso will remain on A2 Milk’s senior leadership team until the end of June.

Jayne Hrdlicka, A2 Milk’s managing director and CEO, said: “Susan has been instrumental in setting the global marketing strategy for the company and I am delighted that Susan will remain with the business until the end of the financial year to assist with implementation and to ensure the brand strategy focus is maintained, while supporting the transition of a new CMO.”

Hrdlicka added: “Susan will also begin work on strategic growth projects during this period. Subsequent to year-end Susan will be available in an ongoing consulting capacity to support the senior leadership team, reporting to me.”
