Germany-based confectioner Haribo has joined forces with Asian import, sales and marketing agency, DKSH, to expand its presence into Singapore and Myanmar.

Haribo has signed a contract to grant DKSH the exclusive rights to market, sell and distribute its confectionery products in Singapore and Myanmar.

With its proven track record, DKSH said it is “well-positioned” to help the German confectionery company to increase its Asian footprint and “capitalise on the growth in consumption and purchasing power of the rising middle class in Asia”.

Nikolay Karpuzov, regional sales director for Haribo South East Asia, said Singapore and Myanmar are “very promising markets” with “high potential for growth”.

“By working closely with DKSH and utilising its capabilities for value-added services, we expect to see the results of this partnership with an increased market presence and market share gains,” Karpuzov said
