The Queensland-based producer of ginger products Buderim Ginger has appointed Gilbert Rousset to the position of executive chef.

Rousset is to assist with recipe development, while also spearheading onsite restaurant operations at the company’s tourism facility The Ginger Factory as the company grows its emerging meetings and functions business, the company said.


Having moved to Australia from the UK two years ago, Rousset was previously manager and chef at the famous auctioneer Sotheby’s in London. A native of France, he has more than 20 years experience in the corporate tourism and hospitality catering industries.
