Australia’s two largest supermarkets, Coles Group and Woolworths, are lagging behind their international peers when it comes to customer satisfaction, according to a new study.
The study, carried out by mystery shoppers GAPbuster Worldwide, said only 13% of Coles customers report being “satisfied” with the retailer, while 17% of Woolworths customers are happy with the service offered.
However, according to a report by Australian newspaper The Age, these satisfaction levels compare unfavourably with European retailers. For example, almost one quarter of shoppers at UK retailer Asda report being satisfied with the service offered.
