Freedom Nutritional Products (FNP) plans to build a A$5.25 (US$4.9m) manufacturing facility and property in New South Wales, for its special dietary food division Freedom Foods.

The property, situated in Leeton, will become a manufacturing facility for gluten-, wheat- and nut-free cereals and baked products, within the next 12 months.

The facility, situated on 7.37 hectares of land, is expected to employ around 100 people and will be designed to provide opportunity for export growth in European and North American markets, FNP said.

Settlement is expected in April.
