Australia’s largest free-range chicken producer Lilydale has launched its first processed meat products, with a premium gluten-free sausage range.

The gourmet sausages are available in two varieties, Traditional Chicken and Basil & Sweet Chilli Chicken, retailing at A$6.99 for a tray of eight sausages (375 grams), and will be available from Coles (excluding WA), independent supermarkets, Harris Farm Markets and Thomas Dux Grocers.

“We think Australians will love our free range gourmet chicken sausages, as the weather heats up and we all look for tasty dinners we can throw on the BBQ, whether we’re eating with family or friends. They’re packed full of our free range chicken meat and are available in flavours everyone will love,” said Lilydale brand manager Laurel Brown.

As well as being gluten-free, the sausages are certified Halal (as with all Lilydale products) and made from chickens fed on GM-free feed and raised under FREPA standards.

The sausages mark a new direction for the company, who began farming in Victoria, and have expanded to South Australia and New South Wales.
