Australian supermarket retailer Coles Myer has said it will extend its fuel discount offer to the state of Queensland from 2 February.

The discount will be available to customers who spend at least A$30 (US$22.1m) at Coles, Bi-Lo or Liquorland outlets, and will be redeemable at around 120 Shell petrol stations in Queensland and northern New South Wales, reported Dow Jones International News.

The company has already launched the discount fuel offer in Victoria, New South Wales, the Australian Capital Territory and Tasmania.

The fuel discount scheme is aimed at increasing sales at Coles Myer’s supermarkets in the face of fierce competition from rival Woolworths.
